- Char: Lover of animals, the outdoors and nature. Loves to laugh, obsessed with detail and creating, sensitive to a fault. The visionary who has to have a project going. John: Big hearted, loves golf, fishing, the outdoors and Char, devoted to his family and his country. Creative builder and diplomatic businessman....an all around good guy! Char started her jewelry shop on Etsy in 2007 simply because she needed to recoup some of the money to buy more silver after giving away most of her creations from her new hobby silver-smithing. In the back of Char's mind always lurked the idea of how hard it was to find jewelry tools in a rural area and also someone to advise her on what she really needed when she was getting started and so excited to learn. When her hours were cut back at Colton High School she thought it was time to be in charge of her own destiny and asked John to join her in this venture. That is when Forgeron Tools and Jewelry Supplies was born. They opened their shop on July 16, 2011 which happened to be John & Char's anniversary.
